Everything is Falling Into Place.

Ever since my mom was diagnosed with her cancer, I could see our lives slowly but surely spiralling down; What made it worse was that I really couldn't do anything about it. I was eight or nine years old when she was first diagnosed, so of course I couldn't tell the doctors off everytime they refused to give her the proper help she needed, because at the time, it really wasn't my place. As the time progressed, we have endured alot; We fall down, we get back up, we fall down again. One minute, we think we are getting our big break, and the next minute, we fall down, hard. She couldn't work, so unfortunately, we live off of disability checks each month. We make it work, you know? Me and my mom prayed that God would help us, and he's heard our prayers, he's answered our prayers.
----------We moved to Mississippi in the fall of 2007 because my mom needed fitting help with her illness. Once we make the move, my mom is getting the help that she needs; everything is great. Until, my uncle [who we are living with] just flips the script & treats us like dirt. He apparently dislikes us alot and I can honestly say we haven't done anything. He wanted us out of the house, and that's fine. We've got us an apartment in a very very nice area near the beach for a really affordable price, monthly. We've met some great friends at our church, not to mention that my mom's illness is getting better day by day; It's like she's already cured. What can I say? After so many years, everything is falling into place and I'm loving every minute of it!

  1. I'm sooo happy that things are finally working out. I get what you mean about family not wanting to live with you and the checks, my g-ma gets one for me n one for her where she can't work so i know how it is to live monthly with them. I hope everything keeps steering in a positive direction for you guys = ]

  2. Things happen for a reason and circumstances are placed upon us for a reason. All that yall went through (and are going through) happened and is happening for a reason. Sometimes family will do you dirtier than a stranger in the streets..it's just the world in which we live. But what's important is that the two of you are happy, heads held high and still believing. As far as her condition getting better, to have tons and tons of stress lifted up off of you and a peace of mind will do that to you!!
